Full Journal pdf2009-02-09 House Journal Page 0199 HCR 2 The following was read the second time: 2009-02-09 House Journal Page 0200 HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 2 Requesting the governor to provide energy security for all Alaskans by pursuing development of a natural gas bullet pipeline from the North Slope to the Cook Inlet region; and requesting the governor to identify and negotiate with one or more persons capable of producing natural gas from the Gubik area, and other areas on the North Slope if necessary, in sufficient quantities to support a bullet pipeline project. with the: Journal Page ENE RPT 6DP 1NR 157 RES RPT CS(RES) NT 4DP 1NR 2AM 180 Representative Johansen moved and asked unanimous consent that the following committee substitute be adopted in lieu of the original resolution: CS FOR HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 2(RES) Requesting the governor to provide energy security for all Alaskans first by pursuing development of a natural gas bullet pipeline from the North Slope to the Cook Inlet region; and requesting the governor to identify and negotiate with one or more persons capable of producing natural gas from the Gubik area, and other areas on the North Slope if necessary, in sufficient quantities to support the energy needs of Alaskans and a bullet pipeline project. There being no objection, it was so ordered. Amendment No. 1 was offered by Representatives Gara, Buch, Crawford, Guttenberg, and Gardner: Page 2, line 20, after "necessary": Insert ", and consistent with the state's obligations under the current Alaska Gasline Inducement Act license," Representative Gara moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 1 be adopted. There being no objection, it was so ordered. 2009-02-09 House Journal Page 0201 Amendment No. 2 was offered by Representatives Gruenberg and Ramras: Page 1, line 10: Delete "in" Insert "from" Representative Gruenberg moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 2 be adopted. There being no objection, it was so ordered. Amendment No. 3 was offered by Representative Gardner: Page 1, line 3, following "to identify and negotiate" (title amendment): Insert "where appropriate" Page 2, line 20, following "all action necessary": Insert "and appropriate, after thoughtful consideration," Representative Gardner moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 3 be adopted.
